The Levant Foundation is a non-profit organization which is privately owned. The basic motive of the organization is to protect the culture of the Middle Eastern region and the one belonging to the religion of Christianity, Islam and Judaism. The main objective of the organization is to capture the interest of the varied society. The Levant Foundation is responsible to promote the various artistic and educational programs through cooperation with the universities famous for its fine arts.
The Foundation has funded many programs meeting its objectives. After funding it believes in ensuring that the funds are utilized in an appropriate manner for which it has been granted.
Jamal Daniel-The co-founder
Jamal Daniel co-founder of The Levant Foundation took birth in Tartous, Syria and stayed there until five years of his age. After completing his five years in Tartous, Syria he moved to Lebanon. He completed his high school education in Jesuit school and then shifted to Geneva. In 1980, he completed his BA in Business from University of Pepperdine. In 1982 he completed his MBA from Texas University. He then became the President and Chairman of Crest Investment Company in Houston, Texas. He has rich experience in high technology, oil and gas, real estate and manufacturing. He then became the co-founder of The Levant Foundation of Houston in Texas which is a privately owned non- profit organization.
In 1999 The Levant Foundation helped in launching the Swiss based Foundation for Interreligious and Intercultural Research and Dialogue. In order to deliver rich knowledge of Christianity, Islam and Judaism the FIIRD promoted a program with the Geneva University in Switzerland. The religion preaches that the God calls human being in order to resolve inconsistency and delivers the true sense of life. The FIIRD publishes three set of holy books in original languages through which one can attain peace.
Sonny Hudson
In 2010 he has been appointed as an Executive Director of The Levant Foundation. He was a US Foreign Service officer who joined The Foundation after attaining retirement. He moved from one place to the other in order to deliver its knowledge in cultural issues.
Dr. Claudine Korall
She is the other co-founder of The Levant Foundation in Paris, France. She believes in delivering knowledge based on communal understanding.
Michelle Upton
She acts as the Vice President of The Levant Foundation in Washington DC. She was working as an advisor of the Kurdistan Regional Government before joining this foundation.
